My new site, VirtualMusic.tv, is a blog about tech-driven music culture and media trends.
I had applied to be a runner for the Vanish competition but I was rejected. It was fun applying and I totally think I cloud have pulled it off. The contest is a publicity stunt put together by Wired Magazine, Lone Shark Games, and Universal for the upcoming futuristic action movie Repo Men out 3/19/10. The film looks to be a hit—it stars Forest Whitaker (awesome actor) and Jude Law. Here’s the trailer.
My idea for Kaleidoscope was to make a collaborative album full of remixes. Although I’m putting that on hold for now, I wanted to share one track that I recorded for it last year. I went back to the mix last month, added an the extra guitar riff that it needed in the chorus, and mastered it. I think it’s fitting considering that the album is a bit of an illusion LOL but whatever who needs albums?

Prince wrote it. It was stuck in my head for about a decade. You know it probably by the Bangles. It’s called Manic Monday. It’s total punk-rock. I, uh, had to change the sex of the vocals LOL.
This is a new rock song I’m writing called Fade Away. I missed some notes but you’ll get the idea I reckon. Oh, and I’m 6’1″ so it’s hard not to cut off my head. The chorus is D# A# Cm G# A#.
I’m launching a new website this week called VirtualMusic.tv which I’ll talk about at the end of this article. First I’d like to share a story and four life lessons that have helped bring me to today.
