I had applied to be a runner for the Vanish competition but I was rejected. It was fun applying and I totally think I cloud have pulled it off. The contest is a publicity stunt put together by Wired Magazine, Lone Shark Games, and Universal for the upcoming futuristic action movie Repo Men out 3/19/10. The film looks to be a hit—it stars Forest Whitaker (awesome actor) and Jude Law. Here’s the trailer.
First a story, and then some punk rock. I traded my more expensive guitar for this 2009 Gibson SG Classic (and some much-needed cash). SG’s are my favorite—they’re really fun to play :) Back in the day I had an SG Faded but I had to sell it—I always regretted that. Now I have it back so to speak.
Barring logic, I knew from deep inside that writing music was one path I needed to follow. I began learning to program HTML in 2003 mainly because I wanted to use the web to share my music with my friends.
Prince wrote it. It was stuck in my head for about a decade. You know it probably by the Bangles. It’s called Manic Monday. It’s total punk-rock. I, uh, had to change the sex of the vocals LOL.
This is a new rock song I’m writing called Fade Away. I missed some notes but you’ll get the idea I reckon. Oh, and I’m 6′1″ so it’s hard not to cut off my head. The chorus is D# A# Cm G# A#.
I’m launching a new website this week called VirtualMusic.tv which I’ll talk about at the end of this article. First I’d like to share a story and four life lessons that have helped bring me to today.
