My idea for Kaleidoscope was to make a collaborative album full of remixes. Although I’m putting that on hold for now, I wanted to share one track that I recorded for it last year. I went back to the mix last month, added an the extra guitar riff that it needed in the chorus, and mastered it. I think it’s fitting considering that the album is a bit of an illusion LOL but whatever who needs albums?
my headache lives in your basement, painting x’s on the faces, in the magazines, that come for free, on the pages that free the streets, black-and-white photo, red underline, images folding in section five, this waiting room’s a little too bright, for my eyes that try to hide, on the table electric holiday, all the faces that we’ll never see, black light one: conversation, we’ll take five for indignation, my errant mind has left the building, and our white lies are quickly turning black.
It’s not neutrasuite, it’s N-E-U-T-R-A-S-U-I-T-E, a special track released this week.
The Spin Arounds flashback to Crimson Road in 2005 for today’s featured mp3, Five Seconds: It’s late, but I didn’t forget today’s featured mp3, Five Seconds. Please download it here or listen on Last.fm. Five Seconds is a flashback to January 2005. At that time The Spin Arounds was known as Crimson Road. Sometime I’ll add more about Crimson Road to my about page.
Recorded in May 2008, I love how the production came out, especially the healthy drum sound, and the vibrant electric guitars. The lyrics are about living in the moment and not over-planning your life. You never know when something, or someone, might come along and “change your world”.
The 1st in weekly series of free mp3 song features by The Spin Arounds.
